Sports Results

Cross Country

Our Cross-Country team took part in the prestigious Lilfordia “Three Woods” Cross-country meeting. A total of 21 Schools took part. We fielded two teams in both the juniors and the seniors section. In the junior boys we did extremely well with the following boys coming in top 30 out of 180 runners: Mufaro Musendekwa 28, Connor Flower 27, Richard Mead 26, Hayden Croxford 14 and Kyle Heynes came 1st by a margin of about 60m from the Lilfordia boy who came second and he was awarded a megal and a Certificate. Our junior boys came first in their category. Oue senior boys did well as well considering we had two Grade 5 boys Daniel Erasmus and Khule Nduku and two grade 6 boys Matipa Mawere and Tyde Stirrup running against Grade 7s from other schools. Results of those in top 30 out of 186 runners were;Ethan Ridley 27, Khule Nduku 23, Aiden Collocott 21, Daniel Erasmus 18, Tyde Stirrup 17 and Matipa Mawere 13. We came 3rd in the senior category. Combined position for the seniors and juniors was 3rd.

Chess

Our Chess team was accepted to participate in the St John’s College Chess tournament. A total of 18 Schools took part. We were the only Junior School participating. We were entered into the junior category (Form 1 to 3) and we managed to field 4 teams. Team A: Anesu Aalbeck, Aiden Jinnah, Sam Dawson, Aurick Bose. Team B: Taona Zimhunga, Benedict Munyoro, Lewis Munyoro, Tait Beets. Team C: Khululekani Nduku, Aayden Nakhozwe, Mpumelelo Mpofu, Michael Mostert. Team D: Gilbert Katunga, Mufaro Gwatidzo, Tom Gurupira and Sean Zulu. The results were impressive as we managed to win games against Senior School boys. Our B team won against our A team overall ending with 10 ½ points finishing 7th and A team 10 points in 10th position. The C team 71/2 points and D team 5 points

 

 

 

National Allied Arts

 

In the Marimba Ensemble Grade 3-7 we were awarded 2nd Grade playing a piece named Hombi. In the popular Chemutengure piece we were awarded 2nd Grade Plus.
