We had a brilliant start to our Cross Country season, taking part in the Gateway Cross Country meeting. Our boys were well motivated and eager to tackle the competition. Mentioning the boys who came in top twenty, our Grade 3 runners were superb with Richard Mead coming 7th, Lewis Munyoro 8th and Ngoni Bunhu 11th. In the under 10 age group Kyle Heynes came first breaking the record by 14seconds, Connor Flower 7th, Daniel Botha 8th, Thomas Dorward 18th and Mathew Sanders 19th. Under 11s were well led by Daniel Erasmus in 2nd place, Khule Nduku 3rd, Jayden Percival 8th, Ethan Ridley 10th and Oliver Zietsman 20th. Our strongest age group was the under 12s as 5 of our runners were in top 10, Matipa Mawere 2nd , Tyde Stirrup 6th , Thomas Judson 7th , Malachi Burrell 8th , Liam Cowley 9th , Rukudzo Hamadziripi 12th , Ayanda Nyanga 16th. We ended the afternoon with the under 13s who were missing one of their key runner Jacob Mitchel. Captain Aiden Collocott led the pack in 4th position followed by Vice Captain Big Chitima on 8th with Robert Sandys-Thomas in 17th.
