Our first team played their last home match against Barwick on Tuesday and are still going unbeaten in both the league games as well as in Festivals. The match was very tough and they managed to win 15-10. Their last season match will be against Hartmann House next week Thursday.

The following boys will represent the Barbarian team at the Interprovincial in Mutare after Midlands province failed to raise a side: Tyde Stirrup, Daniel Mpatsi, Nic Yosa, Malachi Burrell, Munangi Kamwendo, Robert Hutchings, Mica Detering and Thomas Judson who have been picked into the Harare South team.

Grade 4A played St Michaels and won 28-0


Ben Oberholzer won the Zimbabwe National BMX Championship in the 12 year old group. He also received a National BMX achievement award and was presented with his National Jersey, he will be travelling to the USA on Thursday to compete in the BMX World Championship.


Our Hockey team played Twin Rivers this week. The results were as follows:

1st won 1-0
2nd drew 0-0


5 St John’s Prep students were selected to represent Zimbabwe in the Archery Junior 3D shooting tournament in Namibia. Sean Manaloto won a silver medal for junior 3D shooting and Alexander Hair won an individual bronze in the same junior 3D competition. The Zimbabwe team were the overall bronze winner. Team members were: Aiden Webster, Alex Hair, Sean Manaloto, Reece Chant and Ivan He


Chess A team played Avondale and they won 7 ½ to 2 ½. The B team lost 4 ½ to 5 ½.
