Sports Results

Rugby

We send our 1st team and Colts A team to the Gateway coaches festival. This is a tournament where coaches try most players that they would want to use during the season. It was a great festival from both the seniors and the colts. The results were as follows:

 

1st Team

Vs Hartmann House – Drew 0-0

Vs Eaglesvale           – Drew 0-0

Vs Ruzawi                – Drew 0-0

Vs Alex Park            – Won 10-0

Vs Gateway              – Won 5-0

 

Colts A

Vs gateway won 25-0

Vs Alex Park won 15-0

Vs Eaglesvale won 10-5

Vs Ruzaw won 15-0

Vs Hartmann House won 10-0

 

Soccer

Our Soccer teams also took part in the Gateway Coaches Festival and the boys tried their best. The soccer teams were depleted as most of their players were in the rugby team hence B team players had to cover the gap. The results were as follows:

1st team

Vs Alex Park lost 0-1

Vs Gateway won 3-0

Vs Avonlea  lost  0-1

Vs Twin Rivers won 6-0

Colts A

Vs Twin Rivers drew 0-0

Vs Avonlea lost 2-0

Vs Gateway lost 3-0

Vs Alex Park won 4-0

 

Chess

Our Chess team opened the season on a very high note. A team played Gateway A and we won 8-2 and the B team played Cornelius Hope A team and we won 9-1. Great display of talent from our boys.

 

Motor-cross

In the Zimbabwe National Motor-cross Southern Africa Challenge Hunter Moore came 2nd in 65cc and Callum more came 1st in 50cc.

 

Hockey

The Hockey season opened with matches against Hellenic and Twin Rivers. We played extremely well against Hellenic we drew nil all and against Twin Rivers we won 3-1. A very good start to the season.

 

Archery

We took part in the Archery Competition held at Peterhouse Girls, the weather was perfect for the competition resulting in some high scores. Overall runner up in the junior boys was Keegan Welsh scoring 269 out of 300. St John’s came 2nd overall. The team members who got Certificates were; Reece Chant (Captain), Keegan Welsh, Alex Hair, Aidan Webster, Sean Manaloto and Ivan He.
