Prep | Community Round-Up

We had a great weekend of Rugby. We hosted our annual Super 8 Rugby Festival. We were in the same pool with Hellenic , Heritage and Highlands, We played the opening game against

Heritage and we won 23-5, Our second game was against Highlands and we won that one 10-3. Our last pool  game was against Hellenic and we won 17-3  to finish top in the group with 9 points with Highlands coming second. In the qualifiers we played Hartmann House and we won a great game of Rugby 22-14. We went on to play Highlands who beat the defending champions Eaglesvale 5-0. The finals were hard as boys had gone through tough games we managed to beat Highlands 6-0 to lift the Super 8 trophy 2016. The following boys were selected into the provincial squad of 40 of which they will be put in A and B : Mufudzi Magadzire, Giordano Sarpo, Munyaradzi Ruredzo, Connor Grant, Andrew Robinson, Ngoni Zvenyika, Daniel  Erasmus and Daniel Anderson.

In other different fixtures our Grade 4 A and B played Heritage , our B’s lost 20-12 and our A’s won 52-0. Second team “ Bullets’ Played Admiral Tait and we won 10-7 and our 1st played their first with some of their boys suspected to be way overage and we managed to come out with a 24-12 win. In the Colts our B team won 25-0 and our A won 30-0. We managed to organise a Grade 3 game against Heritage and we won 26-5. Our Grade 4 b played Maranatha Colts A and our boys played well and unfortunately we lost 19-27.


This week we opened the matches playing Lucitania. Our 3rd played their 2nd and we won 3-1 and our 1st managed to comfortably beat them 4-0. On the other side our 2nd challenged Alex Park 1st who we have previously beaten but the tables had turned this time and we lost the match 2-0 and our 4th lost to their 2nd 3-0. Good chances to give our boys as much game time as possible. We went away to Gateway with our Colts and we achieved the following results; Colts D we won 6-0, Colts C won 4-1, Colts B won 6-1 and our Colts A convincingly won 8-0.


Grade 3 A’s played Highlands, our boys showed great skill, but the opposition game out a bit stronger maybe because of home advantage, Our B team drew nil all and our A lost 2-0. We are looking forward to the next fixture.


Keegan Shutt got a hole in one on the 11th hole at Borrowdale Brooke. Keep it up.

Biking and Photography

Liam Jones did extremely well in biking and achieved the following. He came 2nd I Spur Mountain Bike League, 3rd in Hellenic Spur mountain Bike League and 3rd in National Mountain Bike Championship. On another note he was placed 2nd in Photography aged 8-12yrs for Photo of Purple Crested Turaco “ Scene in the Green”


We played Twin Rivers and our teams lost 2 ½ – 7 ½
