Dear Parents

As advertised in the Calendar, tomorrow is the Interact Tie Day.

Boys are welcome to wear any coloured ties of their choosing, and should pay $1 to the Interact Society.

All funds raised from this will go towards the purchase of more stationery for the “School Box Challenge” as outlined in yesterday’s email and copied below.

Thank you for your support.

Dear Parents,

For the past few years the St John’s College Interact Society has asked you and your sons to donate a present at year end for Christmas, which we have then distributed to underprivileged children.  We have always received such a wonderful response from you, for which we give our thanks.

This year we are doing something slightly different and are proud to be aiding Miracle Missions in their School Box Challenge.  Our aim is to collect enough stationery and hygiene products for 100 children in need.  Please see the attached flyer.

We would be most grateful for donations of any of the following items:

  • blue / black pens
  • glue sticks
  • pencils
  • lined exercise books
  • notebooks
  • pencil cases
  • rubbers
  • sharpeners
  • rulers
  • scissors
  • crayons
  • dictionaries (used is fine)
  • compass sets
  • hygiene items (soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, comb, body cream, Vaseline)
  • children’s books (used is fine)

Donations can be brought to school any day from now until Tuesday 24th October, and dropped at the Front Office.

This is not compulsory but we would be so grateful if you did contribute to this worthy cause.
