Dear Parents

Two points:

  1. If you do not wish your son to attend Quest please alert me in writing before the end of this week. Some forms are still outstanding; may I ask you to return these soonest as preparations are complicated enough as is.
  1. Quest Bookings: You are cordially invited – no, urged- to come down on the last evening at Quest!  This is Thursday 5th

Starting at 1400 there will be a competition and displays showcasing most aspects of the activities which will have taken place. This is followed, around 1700, by a short presentation by your sons ( speeches and a song) to say ‘thank you’ to the staff of Quest and the Teachers of Falcon College.

This is followed by an amazing dinner cooked by each group in five massive ‘potjie’ pots.  A cash bar will operate all afternoon and there is a nominal charge for the dinner. Dress is ‘smart casual’.

You may then either stay over at Quest or in Bulawayo. Your son may leave with you that Thursday evening directly or the following Friday morning, once camp has been cleaned.  If you are taking other boys home with you by car, we will need permission in writing from their respective parents. Last minute verbal messages, phone calls on the morning of departure and/ or sms’s on boys’ phones are not acceptable for obvious reasons – and we hope you will appreciate our stance on this important safety matter.

Advise Mr Wright as soon as possible if, in addition to your son, you have arranged to take another boy/boys home with you.

Note: The school bus will be returning from Quest to Harare with boys as normal.

  • If you wish to stay on the Falcon Campus itself – and there are some lovely campsites/chalets etc spartan accommodation in ‘Quiet Waters’ next to Quest. Please make the necessary arrangements with Rosy Shearing on head@falconcollege.com  or phone  09-881238   It’s limited and works on a ‘first-come-first served’ basis.

hank you and kind regards

C Trinci and P Wright
