On 26 February, 12 delegates from the St John’s College Model United Nations Society departed for Dubai to take part in the DIAMUN conference.  After 3 days of engaging and challenging debate, the SJC MUN society won the following awards:

– Most Promising Delegate in a room of 100 people – Tanaka Banga
– Most Promising Delegate in a room of 40 people – Hamzah Janar
– Most Promising Delegate in a room of 30 people – Kira Patel
– Most promising delegate in a room of 30 people – Mufaro Gwatidzo – Best Position Paper out of 90 submitted – Mudiwa Kwenda
– Best Delegate Award in a room of 30 people – Mashoko Gazi
– Best Delegate Award in a room of 30 people – Muhammad Bhadella – Best Delegate Award in a room of 30 people – Wilcox Mutizwa
– Best Delegate in a room of 40 people – Benedict Munyoro

St John’s College was also honoured with the prestigious Best School Award at the conclusion of the conference of over 700 delegates from 20 schools across 11 countries.  Congratulations to our outstanding delegates!
